Laurie’s latest series celebrates the primal connection between humans and water.
Photographed from a cliff above a swimming pool that is carved into rock, fed by the adjacent sea water that crashes over it’s edge. On days when the ocean tides are high, these swimmers must fight their way through the pool’s rough waters. On other days when the sea is gentle, the swimmers enjoy time floating and chatting together.
The images resonate with whimsy and optimism, while instilling an awareness of the gentle fragility of Earth's most crucial resource.
